Come to the best equine veterinary dental training workshop on offer!

Now accredited with 66 AVA Vet Ed CE Points

When:
Tuesday 2nd to Saturday 6th March, 2010

Where:
Grafton, NSW, Australia

  • Our equine vet practice performs over 1600 dentals per year and doesn't just sell tools like other dental wet lab hosts. We won’t fill your brain and waste your time and money with unproven techniques which require expensive tools and are doomed to fail!

  • We know the art, science and marketing of equine dentistry intimately! EVDS has used equine dentistry to grow from a solo equine practice in January 2009 to a three-vet equine practice in September 2009!

  • Having hosted over 300 equine vets over the past 7 years at our training workshops, EVDS is absolutely dedicated to ensure that every vet who attends our five day workshop returns to their practice confident and competent to go out and perform quality routine dentistry — bread and butter work which will return good results and happy clients.

  • Horse owners want high quality dentistry at affordable prices for their horses— we can teach you how to deliver it!

  • We have a great mix of lectures, dry labs, cadaver pracs and live horses. This proven combination and sequence of lectures and pracs allows your knowledge and confidence to grow over the five days, and this reinforced knowledge and new skills will stay with you.

  • The last two days are entirely on live horses where you are guaranteed to use different sedation protocols, systematically examine 10-14 live horse mouths, perform infra-orbital nerve blocks, extract wolf teeth, do performance floats using hand tools and power floats, perform “bit seats”, complete dental charts, communicate and explain pathology to the owners — who will appreciate your efforts and attendance at the workshop.
We hope you can join us, and we guarantee you will have a great time!
Topics covered:
  • Anatomy and ageing
  • Instrumentation, using both traditional and the latest technology
  • Restraints, anaesthesia and nerve blocks
